Need Your Help!

The launch for Humanaissance; Igniting Courage in Our Teens and Ourselves was an unforgettable evening. Clintonville Books, my neighborhood bookstore, was packed full of parents of pre-teens, teens, and emerging adults who participated fully in the dialogue about how we can raise this next generation to flourish and contribute. Seventeen-year-old nationally ranked cellist Taran Tien was a model of our #humanaissance. He played cello and demonstrated exactly what creative courage looks like. Jamie Sterling, of the Sterling Book Club, moderated our talk and added so much depth to our conversation. We laughed, cried, and took a meaningful dive into what it means to demonstrate everyday courage in parenting teens in unprecedented times. We did a sacred ritual at the end with candles and a pledge to work to see the inner light of our teens even when they bury it deep. I am deeply grateful for the support of my local village in coming out to help launch this baby into the world!

Now, as part of our Confident Parents, Confident Kids village, I need your help! Here’s what you can do!

  1. Buy the book! If you haven’t purchased the book already, don’t wait a moment longer! Let’s dig in together on this critical conversation about our next generation. If you’d like a range of online booksellers, check this link.
  2. Leave an Honest Review! THIS IS SO CRITICAL in order to spread our conversation about the next generation to those who are eager but are not yet a part of the Confident Parents’ community. Scroll down the page on the Amazon link to “Customer Reviews.” If you are a Good Reads user, leave a review there. Every review is important!
  3. Schedule a Talk. Consider what groups you belong to… whether it’s a workplace, a school, a book club, or a friend group, schedule a talk to deep dive with your connections around meaningful issues that impact our daily lives. Jennifer is traveling to do both in-person and virtual engagements.

After the first launch at Clintonville Books, we moved on to Stratford, CT, NYC, and Newark, NJ.

Thank you Confident Parent Author Nikkya Hargrove and her bookstore, Obodo Serendipity Books in beautiful Stratford, CT that threw a launch party and book discussion!

Next stops… Chicago, DC, and Virginia! Hope to come see you!

Big gratitude to Melissa Kulwicki and David Brown for their gorgeous photography of the event and Breyton Brown for his videography!
